Electrical Technician Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join our well established cleint. The Role:

  • Report to the Team Leader Engineering on all matters regarding the maintenance and operation of all plant and equipment.
  • Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance activities on all aspects of plant and equipment on site.
  • Assist in developing maintenance practices and procedures to improve and maintain the plant and equipment.
  • Pick up work, book out spares and keep records of work carried out via CMMS and update team on issues.
  • Ensure all legalisation relating to all systems is met.
  • Advise the team leader or section engineer of any spares used or required.
  • Have involvement in creating RA SWP & JTD’s.
  • Complete point of work risk assessments.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standard liaising with all members of the engineering department as required.
  • Manage the permitting system for the department, ensuring all isolations/immobilisations are correct and implemented prior to authorising work.
  • Reduce/eliminate all forms of waste from the department operations.
Requirements:
  • A recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship (Preferably HNC but minimum ONC level or equivalent).
  • Electrical experience of heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Sound plant engineering knowledge and experience of industrial systems.
  • Ability to fault find any issues to root cause and front line rectification.
  • Experience of working under permit systems previously or knowledge of how permit systems operate.
Working 12 hour days & nights. Salary: £44,943.31 Total Package (including shift allowance). This is a Full time, Permanent position
