Job Description

Accounts Executive – Self Employed

Due to the growth of the company and our CFO looking to reduce their hours we are looking for an experienced all round accounts person. We are a successful, growing Private Travel Company with this role expected to expand as the company continues to grow.

Based in the office at Cobham with some home working.

Initially approximately 15 hours a week, but this is expected to increase.

To work alongside the CFO, with a view to taking responsibility for many of the day-to-day accounts. This role is expected to develop and expand.

This is a very varied role covering all aspects of accounts. While the volume of transactions is not large, they are complex. Ensuring costs are correctly allocated and cross checked is vital.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and have accounts experience, travel accounts experience are desired. Excellent attention to detail, good organisation and investigative skills are a must and a pro-active nature, along with the confidence to present reports and presentations and communicate effectively. A strong team player is a must. We are a small company producing a high yield and we all work closely together.

Key Tasks /knowledge required

· All aspects of book-keeping

· Travel accounts book-keeping desirable

· Processing purchase invoices and credit card payments.

· Numerous multi-currency bank and credit reconciliation, including the use of spreadsheets to enable weekly reconciliations. 

· Liaise with all Team members to resolve queries and obtain paperwork. In a timely manner while recognising the pressures on others. 

· Excel experience

· Quickbooks – multi-currency desirable 

· VAT returns

· Project costing knowledge would be an advantage.

· Sales Invoicing, along with some credit control.

Additional Information/notes

· Commissions – monitor and chase outstanding.

· Implementation of procedures. 

· Prepared to do all aspects from filing to management accounts.

· Flexibility with work hours

· Bank Reconciliation – include automatic links to Quickbooks and uploading transactions manually.

· Utilising and adapting spreadsheet exported from Quickbooks.

· Spreadsheet – creation and adaption

· Genuine team player and interest in a career
