Senior Scrub Nurse/Theatre Practitioner – Full time - Up to £45,000 (DoE) – Edgware An exciting opportunity has arisen in a leading eye Hospital near Edgware, for an experienced Senior Scrub Nurse/Theatre Practitioner to join their amazing and supportive team. This is a permanent position offering generous salary, which is reviewed annually. You’ll have access to brilliant company benefits and private healthcare. Role Responsibilities:

  • Day to day running of the ophthalmic theatre to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient flow of the theatre pathway
  • Providing excellent care to all patients, with specific responsibility for theatres and the patient flow through the department, in line with departmental policies, practice standards, regulation and governance
Qualifications:
  • Be a Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
  • Have a current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions
  • Previous experience in theatre, minimum of five years
  • Proven track record of mentoring theatre team nurses, Operating Department Practitioners (ODP) and support workers (HCT’s)
Skills Required:
  • Ability to confidently provide high quality, cost effective care that puts the patient first at all times.
  • Committed to maintaining professional standards and ongoing learning
  • Fantastic leadership skills
