Doncaster Council is looking for a dedicated Best Interest Assessor to join our Adults, Wellbeing and Culture team. This role is crucial in safeguarding the rights and dignity of individuals who lack the capacity to make certain decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work and a thorough understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Conduct statutory assessments as part of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) process in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and associated case law.
Contribute to internal training and support the implementation of the service’s Quality and Performance Monitoring Cycle.
Experience working across various health and/or social care disciplines.
Up-to-date Best Interest Assessor refresher training/CPD.
