GENERAL SUMMARY

The Project Accountant is primarily responsible for project billings, project closings, and Revenue Recognition across EMEA (8 countries) and reports to the EMEA Head of Finance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Work closely with the project managers throughout the life of the project
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of project billings
  • Ensure timely closing of monthly WIP and investigating variances
  • Responsible for first line of credit control prior to escalation to project management team
  • Preparing weekly debtors report and leading weekly meeting with project managers
  • Proactively determine projects that include reimbursable client billings and understand individual client requirements for such billings
  • Responsible for closing out projects in accounting software
  • Running monthly revenue forecasting sessions with project management teams
  • Reallocation of project costs where necessary
  • Assist with project compliance as needed
  • Ensuring correct VAT rates are applied to billings across multiple jurisdictions
  • Weekly timecard import and analysis
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • 2/3 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
  • Project accounting experience is a must
  • Construction industry experience preferred
  • Intermediate excel skills a must
  • ERP Software experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
