As a member of the EMEA Learning and Development Team, the Senior Manager, learning and development will be the point of contact for the Continent offices with responsibility for learning needs, program development and delivery for continent office associates.
The Sr Manager, Learning and Development, EMEA Offices role will drive Marriott values and philosophy to ensure all training and development initiatives are strategically linked to the business strategy. This position partners closely with the EMEA Offices HR Partners and key Discipline stakeholders, to assess and prioritize learning needs, develop and deliver key learning and talent development solutions aligned to business objectives.
The Sr Manager, Learning and Development, EMEA Offices Is responsible for delivering various training and leadership programs to the continent offices across EMEA to support the achievement of desired business results. This position will partner with all our Continent Office HR teams to focus on leadership development, learning programs, associate engagement, career paths, DE&I and talent development, measuring the effectiveness of training and providing a dashboard report for all learning and development initiatives.
This role also partners with the EMEA HR leadership team to support diversity, equity and inclusion efforts across EMEA.
Collaborate with clients to conduct comprehensive training needs assessments and identify performance gaps and opportunities for development. Identify desired outcomes and collaboratively defines learning requirements and recognises opportunities to connect initiatives with similar goals.
Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, share insights, and gain buy-in for learning initiatives.
Provide expert guidance and recommendations on learning and development strategies, methodologies, and best practices. Advise on the selection and implementation of learning technologies, platforms, and tools to support training initiative, always looking to leverage existing programs, practices and materials across the business.
Develop instructional materials, curriculum content, and training resources using a variety of formats and delivery methods, including instructor-led training, e-learning, and blended learning approaches.
Partner with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Monitors existing learning programs to ensure changing business needs are considered in planning, and to ensure continuity and the quality of all training programs. Offers insights and suggests improvements to training content for continued relevance.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to client teams to build internal capabilities and foster a culture of continuous learning and development. Stay connected to industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in learning and development to provide thought leadership and innovative solutions to our teams.
TRAINING DELIVERY
Delivers a variety of training to the Continent Offices, monitoring feedback from the participants and ensuring high quality delivery and participant satisfaction.
Supports and manages training initiatives agreed with leaders and aligned to our strategic discipline objectives.
Clearly communicates throughout the different aspects of each training course with both the participants and business leaders to gain feedback and continuously make improvements. Supports training delivery for any additional program needed within the EMEA Learning and Development team.
Manage the new hire orientation and associate onboarding programs for the EMEA office associates ensuring content and delivery meets the needs of the business.
Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through qualitative and quantitative methods, such as participant feedback, performance metrics, and ROI analysis.
Monitors essential business metrics to understand training effectiveness and adapts as needed.
Manages compliance training completion across continent offices, engaging stakeholders as needed.
Maintains and revises the EMEA tuition aid policy as needed, overseeing the implementation and usage across the Continent offices.

Support and deliver against the EMEA DE&I strategy and plan to raise awareness and create an inclusive environment across Offices and Hotels.
Raise the profile and participation in the Associate Resource Groups to build strong networking and communication groups.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
Champion a learning and development culture by working in partnership with the Continent Office HR team and discipline leaders across EMEA continent offices.
Strong partnership across all functions of Learning and Development as well as Continent Offices HR teams.
This role requires significant stakeholder management with the Continent leaders, and the HR team.
6+ years work experience in Learning and Development.
~ Extensive knowledge of learning technologies, instructional design and talent development.
~ Ability to travel internationally.

Prior success in the creation and implementation of L&D and talent development strategies.
Facilitation and Training -skills in facilitation, training and presentation including delivery of virtual instructor led training.
Thinks strategically and demonstrates connectivity with training strategy and overall human resources goals.
