The purpose of this role is to provide support, assistance and advice on matters relating to Safeguarding Children and Family Support, including preparation of legal documentation and research. The role would be suitable for those who want to take the first stepsinto a legal career, or those who have some experience of working in a legal environment.
You will assist with preparing statements, applications and related court documents in relation to child protection matters.
Attending Court hearings, taking notes of evidence and judgements and providing administrative support to counsel and senior members of the legal team representing the local authority.
You will support and assist the Legal Managers in respect of file and case management, and performance management

4 GCSE passes (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English.
~ Knowledge of law and procedure arising out of the Council’s Family Services function (Children Protection, Education).
~ Experience of working (paid or unpaid) in a Legal Environment and/or Local Authority.
