OVERVIEW

AtkinsClarke have been engaged to attract a Finance Director for a high-growth SME. The role is pivotal to the development of the company and will offer extensive development and progression for the right person.

COMPANY

As a division of a high-growth PE backed Group, this is an exciting business to be part of. With both organic and acquisitive growth in the plans, the company expects to double both headline revenue and EBITDA through the next 3 years. The company has a significant UK presence and will require some travel to the sites.

ROLE

As the Finance Director, you will be the right-hand person to the inspiring (albeit demanding) Managing Director who is driving the growth. You will provide strategic input but remain hands-on with the team and the financials in the short term as the business grows.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Lead, develop and inspire the small finance function • Driving improvements across the organisation to impact the profitability

• Work with suppliers and customers to develop profit margins

• Oversee all financial aspects including Forecasts, Budgets, Year end and audit cycle

• Challenge, equip and influence the Managing Director

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The business is looking for a capable business partner to support, challenge and help the MD grow the division. As such, the successful candidate for this Finance Director role will have demonstrable capability as a business partner at management/leadership level. In addition; ideally you will:

• Be professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

• Relish the challenge of growing a multi-site, PE backed services business

• Have an eye for detail and the ability to be strategic

• Demonstrate high levels of commercial acumen
