• Assisting Management to implement and maintain effective Fatality Prevention Standards
• Ensuring plant efficiency and stable plant performance
• Investigation and solving of plant incidents
• Optimize and continuous improvement of the raw materials preparation process and operation
• Controlling total cost of process and consumables
• Maintain plant SHE system to comply with Mittal standards
• Development and implementation of plant specific practices to improve overall plant performance
• RCA on process and plant deviations
• Manage capital projects
• Trouble-shooting of process and equipment bottlenecks

• National Diploma Metallurgical Engineering (NQF6)

• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
• Good general knowledge of safety
• Knowledge of plant processes

• Ability to influence people from a wide range of disciplines towards the achievement of set goals
• Ability to communicate effectively at all times and at all levels of the organization
