Proposal Engineer – Industrial Air Pollution & Odour Control Systems Are you an experienced Proposal Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist team working at the forefront of industrial air pollution and odour control solutions. You'll play a key role in preparing high-quality technical and commercial bids that help secure new business and support clients in meeting environmental compliance standards. About the Role As a Proposal Engineer, you will work closely with the Sales and Proposals Manager to deliver accurate, compelling, and commercially competitive proposals. You'll take ownership of the bid process—ensuring all technical specifications, pricing, and documentation are aligned with customer expectations and industry requirements. Key Responsibilities Produce winning commercial bids that balance technical compliance, competitive pricing, and client requirements. Coordinate and collate all necessary information to prepare and submit complete, professional proposals. Work collaboratively with sales engineers to ensure customer needs are fully understood and met. Maintain an up-to-date project enquiry list. Create draft project plans and attend project launch meetings to ensure smooth handover to the project delivery team. Keep informed of industry developments in mechanical engineering, CAD, and control systems to enhance proposal quality. Skills & Experience Strong literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering (or equivalent). 10+ years of experience in proposals within a process, systems, or related engineering environment.
