We have a great opportunity that has arisen with our dedicated Fire Safety team for a Fire Safety Surveyor. The primary function of the role will be to oversee the fire risk assessment works for Southern Housing. Ensuring that all designated fire risk assessment works are actioned and correctly undertaken within the prescribed timescales.

* Ensuring that all Southern Housing’s properties owned and managed properties are maintained to the highest possible standards and that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.

* Ensuring that staff, residents, leaseholders, managing agencies and property owners are provided with a high standard of service.

Your main office base will be Fleet House, Farringdon, where you’ll be required to travel to once a month. Some hybrid working will be included.

Experience as a fire/building surveyor in a maintenance environment carrying out pre and post inspections with a Fire Qualification NEBOSH fire or equivalent.

* Working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005.

* Experience of working with contractors using SOR and non-SOR contracts.

* Knowledge of relevant and current, codes of practice, building regulations, health and safety legislation, standards and materials.

* Knowledge of contract management.
