These are key roles within the Estimating area of our Work Winning Department, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely Electrical / Mechanical / Telecoms / Instrumentation and Control Systems estimates, calculated in-line with the overall company strategy, CORE Values and goals, across a range of sectors including Rail, Power, Tunnels, Highways, Energy, Water, Defence and Construction schemes.
This role will be based across different project locations, you will be required to travel to other sites and offices as and when required.
Provide sound commercial analysis of quotations received from sub-contractors and suppliers.
Prepare Electrical / Mechanical / Telecoms / Instrumentation and Control Systems estimates from project specification documents, drawings, schedules and historical data, and produce accurate material, labour and sub-contract package allowances against same.
Liaise with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors, to help build relationships both upstream and down.
Sound knowledge of a wide variety of Electrical / Mechanical / Telecoms / Instrumentation and Control Systems and engineering principles, including; HV and LV systems, CCTV, CIS and PA systems, SCADA, BMS, HVAC systems, Drainage and Pipework systems
Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Teams
Good working knowledge of estimating software packages (Trimble, Countfire or similar)
Experience working for a Mechanical, Electrical, Controls or Telecoms contractor
