Job Description

Our Cambridge-based client is seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead to drive the success of their Manufacturing department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team, prioritizing manufacturing excellence to ensure high-quality, efficient, and safe operations.
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and dynamic team atmosphere, fostering open communication and continuous enhancement.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to achieve production goals and enhance operational procedures.
  • Mentor and nurture team members, identifying training needs and avenues for advancement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and tackle intricate manufacturing obstacles.
  • Efficiently manage resources to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
  • Advocate for initiatives aligning with our sustainability and operational excellence goals.
  • Monitor and uphold compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • While a technical background is advantageous, expertise in business, management, and leadership (ILM, CMI) or similar fields is particularly beneficial.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in project oversight, encompassing planning, execution, and resource management, with a focus on leading teams toward project objectives.
  • Experience or training in managing team or project transitions, demonstrating the ability to guide teams through change effectively.
