The Opportunity:

This role offers a unique opportunity to apply, expand and develop your existing vocational skills-set in an exciting and world-leading environment. With a level of autonomy commensurate with the grading of this post, in addition to providing technical instruction, support and advice to undergraduate students you will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement of a variety of equipment and consumables for the various laboratories. You will additionally provide advice on, and oversee compliance with, Health and Safety legislation by all laboratory users.

As a minimum, you will be educated to HNC/HND level in a physical science or engineering discipline and have significant vocational experience in the safe operation and management of scientific laboratories and the instrumentation and equipment therein.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and is available with immediate effect. During semesters the daily hours are strictly dictated by teaching laboratory activities. However, outwith semesters we would be open to considering a flexible working pattern.
