The Payroll and Benefits Officer's responsibilities include managing the monthly payroll activities ensuring accurate data is provided to finance and third-party providers. Support with the administration and promotion of the employee benefits and recognition schemes.
Entering payroll data into the payroll spreadsheet which will include preparing manual calculations for salary changes, starters, and leavers.
Review sickness reports from the HR System and Managers to ensure unpaid sick-ness is included on the payroll spreadsheet for deduction.
Maintain up to date records and files of the monthly payroll changes in readiness for annual auditing.
Prepare monthly payroll for sign off by Leadership Team.
Provide Finance with payroll reports at the end of each month.
Carry out monthly analysis of payments relating to absence each month.
There is also an element of Benefit administration accountabilities which would include liaising with new starters and leavers, ensure relevant information is shared across site, making sure new starters are aware and utilise the benefit platform, approve childcare voucher amendments and coordinate the administration for nominations, long service awards, recognition awards and Christmas vouchers and support the Reward and Recognition Manager with other various ad hoc tasks.
To be successful in this position you would need previous experience of HR / Payroll systems, strong organisational and time management skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff (verbal and written) with good attention to detail.
Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 90 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.
Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a leading edge educational, vocational, and residential facility for young people with autism. We are situated on 50 acres of parkland with various facilities including accommodation for our young people, a school with a wide range of facilities and offices.
