Bachelor's degree in Business, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience within one or more of the following fields: News Publishing, Strategy Consulting, Business Development, Media or Digital strategy, or Corporate Strategy Leadership.
Experience leading complex strategic and operational projects.
Executive commercial/agreement experience in business development and/or client service.
Executive business or executive leadership experience in a large/global News organization.
Within Global Partnerships, the Global News Partnerships Team is an industry focused group that brings together all external partner-facing News teams at Google (including Product, Business Development, and Ecosystem).
This team focuses on helping Google improve its ability to bring one-face to News Partners, and help the company increase speed, flexibility, and responsiveness to our Partners and to the local News ecosystems around the world. The team leads all partner-facing News efforts and programs across Google and works with product leadership to steer the News product roadmap.
Google’s Global Partnerships team powers extraordinary user experiences through partnerships that solve users’ needs, advance our partners’ goals, and further Google’s mission. Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. Report into the Managing Director of EMEA News Partnerships and represent the market’s News efforts on their leadership team. Represent Google to the News ecosystem in UK and Northern Europe, and develop relationships with News CEOs, and key industry leaders.
Lead the development of Google’s News industry agenda at a market level, including working with Google’s Country Vice Presidents to develop the engagement plan with the News partner ecosystem.
Engage in relevant industry or internal partner events in order to disseminate Google’s News narrative, engage executives on Google’s position, and on reputational topics, enabling a healthy News ecosystem.
