The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and treating ADHD and ASD in adults, utilising a combination of medication management, psychotherapy, and behavioural interventions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of adults presenting with symptoms of ADHD and/or ASD.
* Developing personalised treatment plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each patient, incorporating medication management, psychotherapy, and behavioural interventions.
* Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications for ADHD and ASD, monitoring for efficacy, side effects, and adherence.
* Providing ongoing psychiatric care and follow-up appointments to monitor treatment progress and make adjustments as needed.
* Collaborating with other members of the treatment team, including therapists, psychologists, and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
* Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of clinical encounters, treatment plans, and medication management in the electronic health record system.
* Staying informed about the latest research and developments in the field of adult ADHD and ASD, integrating new evidence-based practices into clinical care.
* Participating in regular case conferences, peer consultations, and continuing education activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* Medical Degree.
* Certification or equivalent experience in psychiatry, with a focus on Adult ADHD and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
* Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience providing psychiatric care to adults with ADHD and/or ASD.
* Proficiency in conducting consultations and utilising remote communication technologies.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients remotely.
* Strong commitment to providing patient-centred care and promoting mental health awareness.
* Familiarity with electronic health record systems and compliance with data protection regulations.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
