THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Over the past three years Boots has been reinventing their beauty offering and beauty halls, having launched over 70 new brands in 2022 from the likes of Kylie Cosmetic and Skin, Drunk Elephant, Fenty Beauty, NARS, 17. and MAC to name just a few. The variety of beauty brands stocked at Boots continues to grow rapidly and we continue to support them on the journey.
The Account Manager would work into the Account Director who is leading on beauty, and also have contact and input from the Client Partner and Managing Partner who manage the Boots business as a whole here at The Pharm
The Account Manager would play a pivotal role on the delivery of the beauty output for the team and will help to manage Account Executives also supporting on the overall activity
The individual will need to be a team player ready to get stuck in to all aspects of beauty – and at times, be available to work across the brand activity within the account. They will need to be a team player and also be an efficient self-starter to press ahead and progress with specific tasks as necessary
Overall, we’re looking for someone who enjoys the buzz of a busy and exciting large scale campaign and will thrive off an energetic environment
SKILL & EXPERIENCE
- We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes beauty. Someone who is really excited by the beauty industry and what happens in it. You should be excited about beauty and impatient to get your hands on the next new product or sevice.
- Looking for somebody who has got about four years’ + experience already working in beauty role – either in agency or in-house.
- Looking for brilliant media contacts and experience of talking to beauty journalists. Would like you to have contacts in national titles (Daily Mail, Mirror, Telegraph, Star etc) and to know all the beauty editors and directors – with strong personal relationships with lots of them.
- Writing skills are a must and attention to detail needs to be exemplary
- The individual needs to be very well organised and able to prioritise effectively
- We’re looking for someone with lots of project management experience
- Ideally with experience in large scale media events
- Experience in contributing to and managing a busy press office
- Experience with retail clients is helpful but not a mandatory
