Interim Accountant (Contract to permanent) Kingston Upon Hull

About the Company My client, based in Kingston Upon Hull,are an innovative, SME manufacturer process organisation producing a range of products exported predominantly into mainland Europe. The need has arisen to recruit an experienced interim Accountant to take over the daily operational transactions of the finance function as well as supporting some of the monthly reporting in conjunction with the Finance Director. The role
  • Managing the Bookkeeping function to produce monthly management accounts.
  • Accurate maintenance of accounts on Sageline (50) system.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Managing accounts payable function and processing payments.
  • Assist in managing cash-flow, produce cash flow forecasts, monitor and chase accounts receivables.
  • Running of the monthly payroll.
  • VAT returns.
  • Work with the external accountant to provide financial data and year end reports.
  • Analysis and reporting of core KPI’s financial and non-financial, plans and forecasts.
  • Enhance existing controls, processes and procedures system reports and develop reports to improve reliability and accuracy.
Candidate Profile You will possess strong Management Accounting experience with a proven ability to convey financial information to non-finance managers in a confident and persuasive manner. You will have proven analytical and reporting skills through advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel in addition to possessing excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • You must have at least 5 years’ experience in a related Bookkeeping / Accounts role.
  • This is a stand-alone role so you will be proactive and be able to manage your own workload.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Sage Line 50
