Activate Learning are looking for an A-Level Maths & Physics Teacher to join our established teaching team at City of Oxford College.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals with the ability to inspire, so that students studying on our A Level Maths & Physics course students have a memorable learning experience.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for a Mathematics and Physics teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning.

This is a permanent, role working that can be full time or part time , job share between an A-Level Maths Teacher and an A-Level Physics Teacher

What do you need to be a successful A-Level Maths and Physics Teacher at Activate Learning?

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.

Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications to teach on our Maths & Physics A-Level courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.

About you:

  • Level 4 qualification or above in Mathematics &/or Physics is essential
  • It is desirable if you have a teaching qualification and worked within education as a teacher, but this is not essential

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
