Poppies Holmer Green Day Nursery & Pre School is Ofsted rated Good and has recently been refurbished and we have a large outdoor area with access to forest school, we also have chickens on site We pride ourselves on having a friendly environment which you can see and feel from our Facebook page. We are looking for a Room Leader to join the team to assist management in providing the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children, and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with staff and parents. This role is working 40 hours per week, various shifts patterns between the opening and closing times of the nursery 7:30am-18:00pm. This nursery is open all year round and is not a term time only role. You will need to have a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification. Salary 28,121.60 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. We are located next door to Holmer Green First School and access to the nursery is down the access alley way. Check out our facebook by searching - Poppies Holmer Green Day Nursery & Pre School As Room Leader, you will: Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met *Duties and responsibilities in this job description are not exhaustive or restrictive, changes and other duties relevant to this post may be added. As Room Leader, you will need: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years - Essential Over 6 months’ experience working in a senior position - Desirable Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential We’re a family by name, and we’re a family by nature too.
