We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector (Goods In) to join our growing Quality team based in Stokesley. This is a brand-new role offering an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to our ongoing success and development. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming goods, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and playing a key role in maintaining high levels of product quality. If you are passionate about precision, eager to grow within a dynamic environment, and looking for a role where you can make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Perform thorough inspections and assessments of incoming goods and materials to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
* Carry out visual checks, measurements, and tests on products, ensuring all items are processed within the specified timeframes.
* Verify and review documentation in line with the company's goods inwards procedures.
* Identify, document, and report any defects, non-conformities, or discrepancies found during inspections.
* Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to address and resolve any quality or specification-related issues.
* Maintain accurate records of inspection outcomes, test results, and supplier documentation for reference and audit purposes.
* Communicate findings and suggestions for improvements to relevant departments to enhance overall quality control.
* Assist in refining and enhancing quality control procedures to boost efficiency and product quality.
* Track supplier performance and monitor trends to ensure consistent quality standards.
* Ensure full compliance with company procedures, health and safety policies, and environmental regulations in the goods receiving area.
* Participate in internal and external audits as required and provide support for root cause analysis and corrective actions (such as 8D reports).
* Offer support to the Goods In team as needed to facilitate smooth operational flow.
Skills Required:
* Quality Inspection Tools - Micrometers, Verniers and other measuring tools
* Experience with Root Cause Analysis
* Experience of 8D reports and writing quality procedures
* Experience within a Manufacturing environment
