We are looking for an Operational Solutions Accountant within our Client Accounts division in Norwich
The Operational Solutions Accountant is responsible for providing technical support and guidance to the Client Accounts team, as well as maintaining financial controls and working with the team to improve key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, experience with Excel, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Project Work
• Producing Cashbook Reconciliations for Sold properties on a wide range of portfolios
• Providing technical guidance and assistance on the migration of property accounts on various accounting systems
• Supporting Client Accounts teams to improve key performance indicators by using analytical methods and training when required
• Assisting with standardising, streamlining, and simplifying working procedures across client accounts
• Creation of ad hoc reports and trackers for client-facing teams and management
Maintain Financial Controls
• Monitoring of key performance indicators on client portfolios and taking ownership in timely resolution of any issues
• Timely and accurate completion of various control account reconciliations
• Monitoring of funding levels
• Performance of other controls as governed by our accredited control framework
The ideal candidate will have strong emotional intelligence skills, such as the ability to understand and manage their own emotions and understand and respond to the emotions of others.
• Attend regular meetings with finance and surveyors as needed to resolve issues and ensure client needs are met
• This requires the ability to build strong working relationships, communicate effectively, and be able to work collaboratively build strong working relationships with the portfolio finance team, surveyors and other related teams
• Support senior management in creating an industry-leading Client Accounts team, which is considered a 'Centre of Excellence' both internally and externally
Ad Hoc Issues
• Perform any other accounting duties as needed in support of the property portfolio
Good bookkeeping skills
• Strong Excel skills, (incl. Must be flexible and able to work under pressure, multi-task and effectively prioritise
• AAT Qualified
• Working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
