The Role:
365 People are currently recruiting for a confident and ambitious Environment Assistant to join them at their site in Leicester. Working in conjunction with the Environmental Manager this role is key to guaranteeing their compliance with laws and provisions in environmental protection defined by the Corporate Dept.
Our client is passionate about sustainability, their innovative methodologies are at the forefront of their minds when looking at the efficiency and proficiency of their manufacturing process. The Environment Assistant will work cohesively with the Plant Managers at each of their sites in Leicester and aid the fostering of their group sustainability mission.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Environment Manager for the maintenance and implementation of systems in matters of environmental management and forest certifications
* Manage the communication flow with the relevant authorities in matters of environmental protection
* Collaborate with the Environment Manager for the maintenance of the granted environmental permissions
* Support, assist and collaborate with the other corporate depts. on operational aspects related to environmental issues
* Support the corporate Environment Dept in the management of the communication flow towards clients on environmental topics
* Promote a safety-bound corporate culture
Additional skills/qualifications:
* Experience of undertaking internal audits and participating in audits undertaken by external parties e.g. Certification Bodies, Environment Agency, Customer Audits
* Working knowledge of waste legislation
* Working knowledge of legionella and cooling systems
* Relevant qualifications/degrees such as Environmental Sciences.
* Full UK Driver's licence required due to visits to multiple locations
