Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a talented Competition Lawyer to join their esteemed team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified lawyer with 2-5 years of PQE to work on high-profile competition matters and contribute to the firm's success in this specialised area of law.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and support to clients on a wide range of competition law matters, including merger control, antitrust investigations, and competition litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on competition issues, staying abreast of developments in competition law and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, including competition compliance programmes, merger notifications, and responses to competition authorities.
  • Assist with the preparation of competition filings and responses to regulatory inquiries, ensuring compliance with competition laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the competition team and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer with 2-5 years of PQE in competition law, gained at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong academic background in law, with a focus on competition law or related field.
  • Sound knowledge of UK and EU competition laws and regulations, with an understanding of competition principles and enforcement procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical solutions to competition issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
