Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join North Yorkshire Council’s Civil Engineering Team on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working in Northallerton.

This role is to effectively supervise operatives and subcontractors carrying out construction and highways works in line with the project objectives, quality, budget control, safety and compliant with statutory regulations, current standards, and the Company SHEQ standards. Hold one of the following qualifications: a Civil Engineering degree, HNC in Civil Engineering, NVQ4 or equivalent relevant working experience

* Demonstrate significant experience in highway / construction related activities as a site engineer or equivalent with expereince in setting up sites

* Have experience in planning MSP and dealing with SCPs

* Have experience in measuring and claiming

* To hold SMSTS or similar or be willing to undertake

* Be willing to travel across the county to meet with Operational and Support teams, train local teams and to attend meetings.
