Job Description
- Manage and develop relationships with carriers and freight partners
- Monitor and analyse transportation and FMD costs
- Ensure delivery times meet customers' expectations
- Resolve any issues related to transportation and logistics
- Implement strategies to improve carrier services
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Prepare and present performance reports
The Successful Applicant
A successful Carrier Manager should have:
- A degree in Business, Logistics or a related field
- Knowledge of the retail industry and its logistical requirements
- Strong negotiation skills for dealing with carriers and freight partners
- Excellent problem-solving ability to resolve transportation issues
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
