Job Description

  • Manage and develop relationships with carriers and freight partners
  • Monitor and analyse transportation and FMD costs
  • Ensure delivery times meet customers' expectations
  • Resolve any issues related to transportation and logistics
  • Implement strategies to improve carrier services
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Prepare and present performance reports

The Successful Applicant

A successful Carrier Manager should have:

  • A degree in Business, Logistics or a related field
  • Knowledge of the retail industry and its logistical requirements
  • Strong negotiation skills for dealing with carriers and freight partners
  • Excellent problem-solving ability to resolve transportation issues
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
