We are currently looking to recruit qualified Health Visitors into vacant posts in Bury. The successful candidates will have strong team working skills and a commitment to delivering high quality, child centered care, to join our developing, enthusiastic and dynamic Health Visiting teams in Bury.

Youwill need to be a registered nurse and Health Visitor


The Health Visitor will be responsible and accountable for the operational and strategic management of a caseload and the delivery of high quality programmes of care to infant's children and their families using a multidisciplinary approach.


The Health Visitor will participate in the identification and safeguarding of vulnerable children and their families in partnership with other agencies.


The Health Visitor will participate in the continued development of community service.


The Health Visitor will manage the development,implementation and compliance of policies, procedures, audit and benchmarks, including appraisal, personal development plans and clinical supervision

As a member of the Integrated Childrens services in Bury, the post holder isexpected to contribute to the expectations of the Boroughs Children and Young Peoples Partnership Strategy and the Early Help Strategy.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.


The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receivea full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely. Registered Midwife or Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register
Registered Health Visitor/ SCPHN

Knowledge of recent legislation impacting on Community Health Care and Health Visiting practice.
Displays a good clinical knowledge which is based on research evidence.
Must be able to work alone and as part of a team

Demonstrate an understanding of current community developments


Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
Willingness to carry out all duties and responsibilities of the post in accordance with the trust's Equal Opportunity and Equality and Diversity policies Enhanced DBS for children & adults

Full UK driving license with willingness to use own car for work purposes
