An innovate manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Drivetrain Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team. Joining at a time of significant new product development you will be involved in all aspects of Engine Development from test validation, product assembly and overhaul and repair. Candidates are sought experience assembling gearboxes, engines, or similar complex mechanical assemblies.

Commutable from: Lowestoft, Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Southwold.


The Role

The fitment and removal of Engines, gearboxes, and complete drive units to test boats and test rigs as required.
Regular inspection of test units and the recording/reporting of any issues identified.
Rig assembly and testing of components as required.
Assist Test Engineers with the commissioning of Installations prior to product being released for testing.
To ensure that all relevant component information and serial numbers are recorded as required.
To ensure that all relevant faults are recorded and reported to engineering.
Carry out Rig testing as required.
To ensure all assembly checklists are completed as required during the assembly process, ensuring that they are an accurate record of the work carried out.
To assist with boat testing as required.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
To carry out oil analysis sampling and analysis.

The Person

Apprenticeship in Automotive, Marine or Aerospace Engineering.
Must have at least 5 years hands on experience assembling gearboxes, engines, or similar complex mechanical assemblies.
Be proficient with Microsoft PC software packages. (Word-Excel).
Positive attitude who can work with minimum supervision.
