Job Description

We are excited to be launching a degree level apprenticeship (level 6) in electro-mechanical engineering, to be delivered at our Centre for Excellence in Factory Automation in conjunction with The University of Nottingham.

  1. Over the course of 5 years from September 2024 you will achieve a BEng in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, delivered via blended learning - online and work based learning and lectures delivered on campus through block release. You can expect to spend four weeks per annum on campus, with teaching delivered in four one week blocks.
  2. Your learning will be supported in the business through having both a 'home' department and a series of rotations where you will spend time in design, applications, assembly and sales, amongst other departments. This is so you gain both an indepth technical knowledge and a strong working understanding of how the business operates as a whole.
  3. At the end of the programme, and following End Point Assessment you will have achieved a (fully funded) accredited BEng in Electro-mechanical Engineering, as well as a Level 6 Electro-mechanical Degree Apprenticeship qualification.

The person we are looking for is motivated, committed to learning and to organising their time appropriately and looking to build a career in Engineering. You will be innovative, curious and a self-starter as well as a strong communicator, flexible and reliable.

Qualifications
  • 3 A Levels (BBB) including Mathematics or an equivalent qualification (BTEC Extended Diploma in an engineering discipline, Level 3 apprenticeship in a relevant discipline, or an engineering T Level)
  • 5 GCSES grade A-C (4-9) including English and Mathematics
  • Right to Work in the UK for the duration of the 5 year programme
