The Revenue Control Team supports the fee earning departments in providing a professional and effective billing and work in progress (WIP) management service to the firm
Provide assistance in reducing the level of lockup and debtors and ensuring compliance with the Firm's cash collection processes and policies in order to maximise revenue. You will deliver an outcome focussed collection service and provide routine and ad-hoc credit control solutions.
Proactively undertake regular reviews of the accounts receivable ledger, making recommendations as to level of necessary doubtful debt provisioning.
Reducing the unpaid receivables levels by promptly following up on all agreed chasing actions (via telephone, e-mail, and letter) in accordance with firm’s policy
Utilise credit control system and workflows to ensure all actions are executed in a timely manner, recorded precisely, and filed accurately according to firm policy.
Identify and develop key client contacts as necessary to secure recovery.
Proactively follow up all unpaid bills as appropriate by telephone, email, or letter.
Issue and send copy invoices, prepare statements and reconciliations as required.
Process credit card payments over the phone when required.
Attend regular meetings with Partners and Revenue Controllers to review accounts receivable listings and agree actions required to clear outstanding balances.
Support the annual year-end by obtaining, collating, and presenting data to support levels of doubtful debt provisioning for the audit process.
Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Revenue Control Manager and/or Senior Credit Controller as required.
Previous experience of using collections / credit control systems
~·High proficiency in Excel, e.g., able to liaise with partners on a range of billing and credit control matters.
Professional and confident on the telephone or via Zoom/MS Teams.
