HPCareers is now seeking a Transport Administrator for our global manufacturing client. The role sits within the Logistics Department and specifically working within the Transport team.

The Logistics department carries out a crucial role in terms of ensuring the finished goods are processed in a timely and accurate manner for collection and deliver to customer. All work requires the need for continuous improvement and a high degree of accuracy along with a desire to work to an optimum level. The job holder will be an integral part of a small team. This position would suit an individual with experience of transport administration activities within a fast moving manufacturing environment.

Accountabilities

  • Accurately inputting transport bookings using various customer portals
  • Producing & maintaining transport documentation and reporting where necessary
  • Act as a point of contact in Transportation team
  • Dealing with Warehouse, Customer Services & Transport companies on a day to day basis
  • Booking in drivers on arrival to site
  • Create load plans as required

Experience Required

  • Transport planning experience
  • Advanced IT skills: Microsoft packages, Excel and Word
  • Experience with using AS400 (CIGMA) would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of INCOTERMS would be advantageous

Remuneration

Salary £20,000pa

Holidays 25 days + 9 stats

Hours 37.5 hours (half day every Friday)
