We’re recruiting for a forward-thinking Manufacturing Team Manager on behalf of our client based in beautiful Devon

You’ll be the driving force behind a critical production area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation

This role is on-site based in Devon. If required, a relocation package may be offered.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Strategic Oversight: Monitor and manage both hourly and salaried staff, aligning resources with workload demands for seamless operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives like Lean activities and eliminate waste to enhance efficiency across key processes.
  • Safety First: Implement safety programs and achieve year-over-year improvements in performance metrics.
  • Team Empowerment: Cultivate and coach high-performing teams, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and accountability.
  • Operational Excellence: Achieve critical metrics in on-time delivery, first-pass yield, and productivity while managing maintenance and facility assets effectively.

What we’re looking for:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Experience in manufacturing/operations including experience in a leadership role
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence, and problem-solving techniques (e.g., 8-D or A3).
