People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bellshill.

Rates of Pay:

  • Basic: £14.50 per hour
  • Higher Rate: £18.00 per hour (for select hours/shifts)

Day-to-Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will include but are not limited to:

  • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently for the delivery of chilled and ambient food to customers within the Central Belt
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Class 2 Driver, you will need:

  • A valid UK Category C Licence
  • At least 12 months of experience driving Category C vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • A valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • Punctuality and excellent timekeeping skills
  • A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills

Training

  • Paid onsite induction/assessment prior to your first shift
