We are looking to recruit a Pricing Analyst who will play a key part in our fares strategy and implementation, as well as ensuring CrossCountry tickets and fares are displayed correctly through ticket issuing systems and are issued effectively.
The successful candidate will join our Commercial Delivery team, which is responsible for pricing, retail, ancillary revenue, revenue management, business analysis and forecasting.
Assist with fares implementation and ensure compliance with fares regulation.
Undertake regular fares & revenue analysis, with a focus on our competitors.
Bring actionable insight into the business that will impact on our decision making in terms of fares, distribution, fulfilment options and policies.
Maintain product and restriction information on internal and external knowledgebase websites and maintain process guides as appropriate.
Support with any other duties required within the wider Commercial Delivery team.
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training
Highly numerate with a strong analytical background and experience with Microsoft Office
Good knowledge of the CrossCountry business and or/commercial rail experience
Good knowledge of the railway network and/or UK geography
A basic understanding of the UK rail industry and rail fares, with an appetite to become an expert through experience
