Site Reliabilty Engineer / DevOps - Leeds - we need someone to be able to work in Leeds for 2 days each week for this contract.
£Our credit risk client is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their global team, based in Leeds, UK
You'll be acting as the go between for the UK team and the US team and pivotal in developing cutting-edge products for Financial Crime and Compliance. Responsibilities include delivering resilient application stacks, monitoring critical business applications, and resolving complex issues.
There are a lot of nice to have skills below but the three most imoprtant skills by far for this contract are Azure, Terraform and Kubernetes. Delivery of resilient application stacks via "Infrastructure as Code" and other DevOps practices
Monitoring and on-going support of critical, high revenue business applications
Working with diverse technical and non-technical teams, including Development, QA, IT Operations, Customer Operations and Project Management teams
Professional experience of working within the public cloud – Primarily Azure but some AWS beneficial
Coding and scripting experience such as - PowerShell, Bash, Python or equivalent
Configuration management tools such as - Ansible, Puppet, Chef or equivalents
Hands-on experience of Linux servers, including support and troubleshooting
System and application monitoring such as - Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch
Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, MS SQL Server or similar
