Wrexham Wales, United Kingdom British Isles DBT Training Full time
Job Description

British Isles DBT Training (biDBT) is the sole licensed provider of training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in the UK and Republic of Ireland, with a 20-year track record of delivering high quality staff development and DBT programme implementation in a wide range of clinical settings.

We seek a highly motivated individual with strong communication and data interpretation skills to join our team as a Clinician Engagement & Clinical Benchmarking Analyst. biDBT is currently undergoing expansion in English NHS Trusts, and in 2020 launched a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in DBT in partnership with Bangor University. DBT is a team-based treatment, and teams enrolled on the PGDip are expected to contribute clinical outcome data from their local implementation to the benchmarking platform that biDBT has developed, that allows clinical DBT teams to upload pseudonymised clinical outcome data. The data collected will form the basis of health-related quality of life benchmarks, borderline symptoms, and emotion regulation, and you will work closely with the Course Leadership and Administration Teams in Bangor to provide frequent feedback on your progress.

The role of the Clinician Engagement & Clinical Benchmarking Analyst is to work closely with current and prospective users of the benchmarking platform, encouraging them to upload a minimum outcome dataset, supporting them in interpreting their data to get the most out of benchmarking and troubleshooting any issues. You will also work closely with the technical lead for the benchmarking platform to design, implement and test improvements to the website to ensure a positive user experience, as well as the clinical team when needed. The post holder will work from the biDBT office in Wrexham. Post Holders will be willing to travel periodically to DBT teams across the UK for consultation, as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with users of the benchmarking website, both online and in person, offering consultation to help them upload and interpret their data and make the most of the website functionality. Engage with potential users of the platform to explain the potential benefits to their team, clients, and the wider DBT community.
  • Identify possible improvements to the website based on user feedback, and work with the technical lead to ensure that these are implemented and tested.
  • Manage a helpdesk function (using a dedicated ticketing system) to provide timely resolutions to problems reported by users; resolve issues yourself or refer to other team members as appropriate.
  • Promote the benchmarking platform by contributing to the organisation and delivery of online and in-person benchmarking events, producing a benchmarking newsletter, and delivering short online demo slots.
  • Work with the benchmarking team to ensure the most appropriate analytical techniques are used for the purposes of data presentation
  • Encourage teams to utilise the ‘Capacity Planning Manager’ to optimise their service delivery.
  • Contribute to audit and research studies as appropriate.
  • There may be an opportunity to get involved in wider projects within biDBT, if capacity allows.
