Job Title: Computer Science and IT Lecturer
Position: Full-Time
Permanent start date 19th August 2024
The Successful computer Science and IT lecturer will have the following skills and qualifications:

Honours degree (or equivalent) in a related field Essential
PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification) Essential
Key Responsibilities of a Computer science Lecturer:

Ensure the curriculum area’s quality assurance procedures are followed.
Ensure that effective induction is providedfor students, in order to promote their successful progression from school in conformity with curriculum area procedures.
Regularly monitor the performance andprogress of students and take prompt and appropriate action when necessary.
Use appropriate and varied teaching methodologies, suitable for the range of ability of thestudents, including strategies which promote effective learning and students’ ability tostudy independently and make effective use of the resources available to the curriculum area, in conformity with curriculum area procedures.
Write reports and references as and when required, according to college procedures, for
Participate in continuing professional development as appropriate.
Contribute to the development of curriculum area teaching and learning resources.
Safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of young people
Not looking for Teaching roles? We are also registering Teaching assistants, Mentors and Technicians. We also work with teams who are registering for Prison Education, Senior and interim positions.
