My client who are a global leading business are currently recruiting for a Senior Category Buyer to join on a permanent basis in Barrow-in-Furness (hybrid working).
Strong understanding of indirects/service-based procurement - IT, corporate services, professional services etc.

Role - Senior Category Buyer - Services
Location - Barrow-in-Furness (hybrid working)
Type - Permanent
Key responsibilities of the Senior Category Buyer - Services role will include not be limited to:
Undertaking proactive supplier management of key Service Providers including supplier relationship management, contract change, escalations, risk management and leading Governance forums
Being involved at all stages of the project lifecycle starting with stakeholder and demand management, sourcing and tendering and contract negotiation
Supporting a large-scale programme which will transform the way services are currently procured within the group. You will negotiate and agree contractual terms, pricing and service levels
Perform elements of operational procurement such as requisition and invoice approval

Key skills and experience required for Senior Category Buyer - Services and not limited to:
Experienced procurement professional within indirect / service-based procurement - ie Professional Services, Corporate Services, IT OR wider.
Able to travel to suppliers on a regular basis across the UK
