Position: General Foreman Location: Rickmansworth Contract Type: Long-term Contract or Permanent Compensation: Rate and salary negotiable based on experience Role Overview Our client is seeking a General Foreman for the Thames Water framework. The successful candidate will support the Site Agent in coordinating the safe management of work sections on major projects or control all site activities on smaller projects. The role ensures that Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards, programme schedules, and budget requirements are met. Key Responsibilities * Site Coordination and Management:

  • Assist the Site Manager in coordinating and controlling the initial site setup, including installing systems and procedures.
  • Apply and enforce methods and controls rigorously to ensure effective and continuous resource utilization.
  • Evaluate and mitigate security risks to Thames Water properties under your control, implementing security measures commensurate with relative values.
* HSQE Compliance:
  • Support the Site Manager in maintaining and enforcing safety standards as required by statute and Thames Water safety policies.
  • Work in accordance with method statements and risk assessments.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures.
Essential Skills and Qualifications * Educational Background: * ONC or HNC in a construction discipline. * Certifications:
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme).
  • First Aid certification.
* Additional Training: * Preferably confined space trained. * Industry Experience: * Experience within the water treatment industry (non-infrastructure). Additional Information
