The Role - Senior Cloud Engineer
The Location - Aberdeen or Dundee (hybrid working, 2 - 3 days on site a week).

Ourclient is looking for a Cloud Engineer with excellent knowledge and experience in AWS to join their organization in a Senior Cloud Engineer role. Our client is a growing organisation dedicated to ensuring their customers get the cloud services they need to let them take full advantage of the potential and benefits that the cloud provides. You would be joining during a very exciting time within the organization with the opportunity to grow alongside the business. If you are looking for an opportunity to work within exciting AWS-led projects and grow your skillset through training, study and certification enroute to becoming a leader within IT then this is the perfect opportunity for you.
You'll be an AWS Cloud engineering expert, and will lead the team from the front to continue to identify and test emerging technologies.
Ensure the stability and functionality of key AWS platforms through expert knowledge.
Embed security, stability and capacity within the development and deployment of cloud services.
Act as a point of escalation for engineers, participating in the on-call rota as required.
Knowledge and experience of AWS best practices. AWS professional certifications are essential.
Expert knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g. Python) and continuous integration / delivery approaches and tools (e.g. In-depth knowledge of the design and development of applications within AWS.
Leverage automation with a view to improve development processes and optimise software delivery.
Use of monitoring platforms e.g. Knowledge of ITSM platforms including ServiceNow.
Experience with multi-tenanted and private cloud infrastructure is desirable.
Strong experience of both Windows and Linux operating systems are desirable.
Hybrid working, 2-3days a week inoffice.
