As a Planning Development Manager, you will manage a portfolio of large-scale grid-connected solar and energy storage projects. You will coordinate input from multidisciplinary in-house and external teams, guiding projects from early stages to being built.
Act as a key contact for projects, managing input from property, planning, grid, technical, legal, and commercial teams.
Proactively manage development projects against clearly defined timescales and milestones.
Lead the planning aspects of projects, coordinating external consultants and managing community engagement.
Identify and manage all key stakeholders in a project, including in a stakeholder management plan.
Prepare weekly status updates, reporting progress and detailing risks and mitigation strategies.
Set and monitor project budgets, ensuring spending aligns with forecasts and regularly reporting on progress and variations.
Proven post-qualification experience with a degree in a planning-related discipline and eligibility for membership in an accredited professional institute (RTPI or MRTPI or equivalent).
Experience managing renewable energy projects through the entire development cycle, understanding key issues, and negotiating viable solutions.
Capability to identify potential obstacles to delivery and influence key decision-makers to ensure timely project completion.
Experience in renewable energy project development.
Full UK driving license and ability to travel frequently for site visits and meetings.
