About the role
With the overarching purpose of driving profitable growth, this person will play a key role in building relationships both internally and externally to win new work and maximise client relationships. They will need to work closely with the partner group and BD team to ensure alignment of messaging and process.
This role will either be at Assistant Manager or Manager level depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.
You`ll be an experienced sales individual who will play a critical role in the success and development of the sales team. You`ll be expected to develop a sustainable new business pipeline, deliver against revenue targets whilst also building successful stakeholder relationships internally. Key Responsibilities for AM/Manager
- Build strong relationships with the partners and deliver fee growth against their strategic plans.
- Target and generate potential revenue using both proactive and reactive sales techniques, capitalising on leads and existing relationships.
- Identify sales opportunities linked to legislative, market and economic based issues.
- Prepare bids and proposals and deliver on pitches for your new business opportunities.
- Identify referral and cross selling opportunities across the firm.
- Hit sales targets to achieve fee growth.
- Maintain up-to-date market knowledge, including sector and competitor activity.
- Share insight with the wider PD team and business.
- Work closely with the BD team on campaigns.
- Leverage profit center data via the CRM system, including pipeline.
- Influence and support PD team strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure an efficient, aligned approach, and sharing best practice and innovation. Additional responsibilities at Manager level:
They will work closely with the Head of Sales and Relationship Development to grow the function and support on strategy.
- Work with the Head of Sales & Relationship Development to help establish coherent and lasting sales strategies to drive sales and overachieve against deliverables.
- Support team members to ensure they are on track to achieve against KPIs.
- Support with reporting when required. Skills & Expertise
- Proven track record of sales and relationship management in professional services.
- Confident, professional and able to build strong relationships with C-Suites.
- Strong knowledge of sales methodologies/ processes.
- Excellent persuader, influencer and challenger, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Enthusiastic and energetic, able to take the initiative, drive process and make things happen.
- Strong networking skills, good at quickly establishing relationships and trust.
- Confident at presenting and chairing meetings.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Fast learner with the ability to hit the ground running.
