We are working on the largest flood alleviation scheme in the UK, with Severn Trent. Our client, a Tier 1 civil engineering Main Contractor, requires a SHE Advisor to work with them for 5 days/week (PREVIOUSLY YOU MAY HAVE SEEN 2-3 DAYS, BUT THE REQUIREMENT HAS CHANGED). Due to our client's policy, the role is Inside IR35 and the only payment options are PAYE or Umbrella PAYE. This is a site-based role. Responsibilities: Drive continual SHE improvements Ensure SHE procedures are implemented to allow all relevant legislation to be complied with Alignment and compliance with client Code of Practice Provide support and advice to site and management teams on SHE issues including best practice and innovation Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are correctly reported and lead and support to investigations in accordance with SHE policies and procedures Ensure all levels of staff under your influence receive adequate and appropriate training in health, safety, quality and environmental matters What do we need from you? Experience of working with a civil engineering company, on site. NEBOSH construction certificate IOSH or IIRSM membership (or working towards gaining membership) Previous exposure to Environmental Management and Sustainability principles and have a good practical understanding of the principles of SHE legislation Please note the rate is indicative and along with experience, is based on whether you will be paid through Umbrella or PAYE
