The Young Person’s Coordinator will support the delivery of National Theatre Wales’ (NTWs’) Young Person’s Strategy, developed in collaboration with young people throughout Wales.

This new fixed-term role is supported by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which is being administered by Cardiff Council, and therefore we are looking to recruit a candidate who can work from Cardiff regularly, who has an understanding of the communities of Cardiff

The role involves:

  • supporting young people across Cardiff to enhance their skills and confidence to become community champions and civic trailblazers within the arts and beyond.
  • strengthening relationships with schools, colleges and universities throughout Cardiff.
  • seeking creative engagement opportunities for young people around our productions.
  • leading on the delivery of co-created projects.
  • supporting NTWs’ Young Collective, a group of 15 young people from across Wales whose voices shape our work, from the stories we tell and the people we employ to the places in which we create.
  • opportunities to take part in skills and professional development training.
