We are seeking a dedicated Shift Chemist for a permanent position within our Engineering & Manufacturing department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial/manufacturing chemistry, with a focus on metal alloys.
Our client is a global leader in aerospace and industrial manufacturing, employing over 10,000 individuals worldwide. The company is known for its innovative approach to materials science and engineering, producing advanced metal alloys for a diverse range of applications.
Follow instructions to prepare and analyse samples to agreed timescales and to evaluate the chemical acceptability of product to internal and external standards reporting the results obtained.
* Plan workload and analysis schedules in conjunction with the production departments so that agreed volumes and time targets are met.
* Calibrate and maintain instrumentation in laboratory to ensure minimum downtime.
* Work to required standards and assist in maintaining quality systems/standards
* A successful Shift Chemist should have:
A degree in Chemistry or a related field.
Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment, particularly with metal alloys.
A strong understanding of analytical methodologies and laboratory instrumentation.
A competitive salary £35700 per year.
