Brickwork Technician (would suit a construction site Labourer or Bricklayer's Apprentice) DBS will be conducted for this position. Location: Poole Salary: £24,857 per annum Hours - 37 hours with the flexibility to work outside of typical working day (evenings & weekends when required) Benefits: 27.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 30.5 after 5 years' service up to 4 days additional leave during the Christmas closure period Free parking at all of our college sites (where spaces are available) Access to Discount Schemes at multiple retailers Enrolment into the NEST Pension Scheme Reed Recruitment (Southampton branch) are recruiting for a Brick Technician full-time at a college in Poole. You will be working within a college that provides a bricklaying construction course. Your role will be to assist on a mini mock up site within a classroom facility environment. You can expect ongoing training and development in this role such as being trained in Skid Steer plant loader training, forklift training, and first aid training. Tasks include:- Keeping the classroom building site tidy Dismantling small walls and structures that have been put up each day Ensuring tools and materials and apparatus are available for the site area Ensuring that site based health and safety is adhered to.Skills and abilities:- Experience of brickwork or construction industry tools and materials Interpersonal and negotiation skills Able to work under their own initiative Capable of preparing materials for use in the workshop for student projects Ability to organise the stores to a very high standard Ability to work flexibly, independently, and in a team setting, and must genuinely like working with people Physically fit and able as this is a physically demanding position Driving licence as you will be working across 2 local sites and will drive a flatbed truck between them with tools and materials. Ability to work under pressure
