London, United Kingdom Amazon Full time
Global Account Manager, Automotive, Automotive Global Accounts

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking talented sales individuals for the Automotive Global Accounts team focused on growing business and defining the cloud computing industry in the world’s largest, most strategic, multinational Fortune 100 companies.

AWS, the world’s leading cloud provider, offers cutting-edge cloud solutions that benefit companies of all sizes. We are growing our new Global Accounts Sales team which focuses on helping the world's largest multinational businesses in the Automotive industry adopt the AWS cloud platform. If you are passionate about the cloud and have the skills, the Global Account Manager role will provide you with the unique opportunity, landing business-transforming solutions to the world’s biggest and most impactful companies, and shape the future of cloud computing and the Automotive industry.

Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future. As part of your work you will also recruit and develop others by mentoring in your organization and/or at your location. You will provide constructive peer feedback and promotion assessments for these earlier in their sales career.

Key job responsibilities
Every global customer is unique, hence the respective sales team’s set up could vary per account, ranging from one to several Global Account Managers around the world, carrying shared goals to ensure customer success, and therefore you could be working as part of the team owning a territory/part of a global account. As part of your role, you will be responsible for relationships with key influencers and decision-makers, specifically CXOs, and you will own respective initiatives for which you will define the priorities for your territory/part of a global account. You will work backwards from customers, helping them solve complex business problems via technology. You will create and execute sales strategies, account plans to accelerate customer adoption and meet customer acquisition, revenue attainment, and/or growth goals. You will define new opportunities, and own the full-cycle sales engagements. You will build and lead diverse virtual teams, and enlist senior leaders and executives across AWS and broader Amazon to support velocity of your engagements. You will solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks.

You will also impact mechanisms beyond your assigned accounts (e.g., influencing playbooks, identifying gaps between teams, processes, and plans) and contribute to the standards for account management best practices. You will provide input into the creation of team goals, and influence multiple partner team goals and priorities.
