This is a new role for M&C Saatchi, providing an exciting opportunity to present the Company more proactively with the investment community.
This is a full-time role, based in London, with an average of four days in the office and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This position takes over from the Interim Head of IR who joined in March establishing core activities, and there is much still to be done. This a public-facing role, commanding authority, and judgement in how we present the Company to the financial markets.
Coming up with ideas and events for educating the market on M&C Saatchi’s businesses – such as seminars, capital markets days and by keeping the website information relevant and stimulating.
Running the financial reporting processeswith the statements, presentations and briefings that entails.
Engaging with analysts on their financial models which are the basis for their valuations of the Company. Monitoring our peers who are ultimately competitors for investment, and our share price which is the key indicator of how the investment community values the Company
Content and messaging (20%)
Prepare of the Company’s financial reporting statements and other announcements.
Develop and maintain IR pages of website.
Financial research analysts (20%)
Be the first point of contact for financial analysts.
Answer questions, judging when to field them.
Manage consensus - ensuring their financial expectations are realistic.
Managing and maintaining a CRM system.
Provide briefing material for financial results, meetings, events.
Align messaging on ESG, Financial PR and internal communications (10%)
Financial literacy - accountancy or CFA qualifications would be an advantage.
Strong business acumen to express the Company’s performance.
Demonstrable experience in writing for different audiences.
Learning how our business works and what its financials say about it
Writing in English, specifically business English but without jargon.
