SUMMARY

A leading global renewable energy company, set up to develop, construct and operate a portfolio of Solar PV and BESS projects in the UK, is looking for an experienced Grid Engineer with a strong working knowledge and understanding of grid network and regulations in the UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of the UK Solar & BESS team, responsibilities include supporting the entire development lifecycle of grid connection from origination to completion. You'll also be responsible for:

Supporting management of Solar & BESS grid connection from origination to completion.

*

Assisting in identification of potential capacity opportunities, assessing sites for connection viability, Familiarity with network flow and power system analysis techniques to investigate new project opportunities.

*

Liaising with DNO/National Grid pre-connection application and post connection offer acceptance.

*

Coordinating with consultants to manage complete process of grid applications, ensuring they are submitted in time. Liaising with the engineering team for required details for connection applications.

*

Building relationships with DNOs, National Grid, ICPs and IDNOs.

REQUIREMENTS:

*

Degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering or related discipline.

*

1-3 years of relevant experience (Solar & BESS ideally). DNO experience preferable.

*

Understanding of the grid network in UK both T&D

*

Familiarity with the landscape for Renewable Energy (Solar & BESS) projects in the UK preferred.

*

Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.

*

Proactive and able to work independently.

*
